United States of Europe Now

24.03.2013

Catholics have a new Pope. Murdering goes on in Syria. US Reps and US Democrats are struggling with debts and taxes. In Japan there is a deluge of money. And … and … and so on. And the Zypriot politicians push their luck with Russians and with Europeans. The situation for the other European countries: their problems are brewing. The same procedure as every year or shall we say as every century.

There are three scenarios respectively three groups in Europe. People who want to have fewer European impact or more national decisions for their own country. One can say they are going back. Another group is moving slowly. In other words they are muddling through. The third group wants to go faster. All of them have different reasons and motives for their behaviour. Those who want to move slowly at least want "more" Europe. However at a slow pace, taking perhaps centuries,  but at least decades.

The speedy moving faction have their own shortcomings. Some of them are day dreamers and often they fall into traps. To be clear: there are no acting without risks. The risk for the people who want more Europe now is Europeans' vote. But none of us knows what the Europeans' will is without asking.

Now Easter Anno Domini 2013 is in sight. According to christian belief Easter is the feast of resurrection.  And no ressurection without passion and death. Europeans have a long long time of passion. Who or what prevents us to have our Easter?
